Business Women’s Wednesday - monthly networking seminar designed to deal with pertinent issues facing women in the workplace
The Owners Challenge- Monthly seminars designed to teach strategic planning skills to small to mid-size family owned or closely-held businesses.
People Make the Difference – Hands-on, real world HR series designed to help businesses improve their bottom line by getting the most from their employees.
Small Business Consortium - An information clearinghouse for small business while providing referrals to small business service providers in the area.
Technology Thursdays - Weekly programs designed to provide technology information and solutions for managing a business.  A great way to help you market your business in today's e-commerce environment.

Leadership Development

Leadership Forums - Forums that address cutting edge leadership development issues and trends, featuring nationally recognized leadership development experts and local community leaders.
Leadership Greensboro - This nine-month, hands-on civic leadership development training program helps prepare individuals to assume active and responsible leadership roles in our community.
Other Voices – A nine-month human relations development program designed to educate participants on, and help them develop an appreciation of the advantages of a diverse social, cultural and economic community.
Regional Leadership - The Chamber plays an important leadership role in regional economic development initiatives, including the Piedmont Triad Partnership and the Guilford County Economic Development Council.

 

Business Development

Business Connections Marketplace - A bi-annual buyer/supplier forum to connect purchasing agents from large organizations with small business suppliers and vendors.
Greensboro Venture Capital Fund - Special financing for minority owned businesses to assist with business growth and development. Eight area banks fund this revolving loan program, which is administered by the Chamber.
Job Expo - The Chamber provides an affordable solution to labor issues through this annual job fair attracting approximately 100 exhibitors and 1,000+ attendees.
Small Business Awards Program – Awards presented to local small business owners in the areas of Small Business Person of the Year, Minority Small Business Person of the Year, Retailer of the Year, Women in Business and the Small Business Advocate of the Year.
Small Business Consortium – Group of small business assistance agencies throughout Guilford County who cross reference each other based on the needs of the business seeking help.

Public Affairs

Governmental Affairs - The Chamber has a proactive governmental affairs program that helps members become aware and take action on critical issues affecting the business community.
Education - Recognize new teachers and faculty to the community with the New Teacher Reception, and Rookie Teacher of the Year Breakfast.
Access to Elected Officials - The Greensboro Chamber hosts many social and educational events that provide opportunities for members to interact and build relationships with local, state and federal officials.
State of Our Community – Luncheon featuring speakers giving the current state of business, government, and education in Greensboro.
Transportation - The Chamber is actively involved in promoting high-speed rail service and infrastructure improvements for the future transportation needs of the area.

Marketing through the Greensboro Chamber

Membership Directory - The Chamber's Membership Directory lists members by company and business category. It is published annually, sent to the full membership and is available to the public.

Online Business Directory - Members receive two listings in the Chamber's Online Business Directory which delivers more than 85,000 referrals monthly. Please visit our website at www.greensborochamber.com and click on the Business Directory link.

Members Only Referral System - The Chamber of Commerce is often the first point of contact for visitors and those relocating to the area. The Chamber receives over 200 calls per day requesting information and we only refer members.

Leads Groups - The Chamber hosts three Leads Groups. These groups consist of business professionals working to promote their products and services in a highly productive, non-competitive networking environment.

Display Your Brochures - Only Chamber members are able to display their brochures and magazines in the Chamber Lobby.

Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings - New to the area or reopening your business? The Chamber would like to help promote your business by hosting your grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. We also will post a picture and press release from the event on our website.

Sponsor an Event - By sponsoring an educational seminar or a networking event, you are promoting your company to over 40,000 prospective clients. With promotion on the website, through the Chamber e-newsletter, faxes and recognition at these events, you definitely get your name out there. This is a very cost effective way to increase your visibility and reinforce your company brand in the community.

Post a Coupon or Press Release - As a member, you are eligible to post coupons and press releases on the Chamber's website which will drive more traffic to your business.
