Business Development Opportunities:
The Chamber
continues to offer effective business development
opportunities. There were over 2.1 million business
referrals from our website in 2006. Over $500,000 in new
sales were generated from our Leads Groups referrals and
the Piedmont Triad Business Showcase saw a 50% increase
in attendance.

Business Academy:
The Chamber's
Business Academy offered over 50 programs for small
business ranging from family ownership, human resources
to technology. Multiple forums were held to explore
opportunities from doing business with government
agencies to expanding customer base and increasing
revenues. Over 3,200 individuals attended these and
other small business programs. |
Leadership Development:
Again in 2006,
the Leadership Development department provided premier
programming via four specially designed programs -
Leadership Greensboro, Other Voices, Experience
Greensboro and Leadership Greensboro Seniors. With more
than 115 individuals participating, the leadership
programming is designed to provide opportunities to
enhance the leadership capacity and volunteer
effectiveness of the participants.
