“We the people…” three little words that start one of
the most powerful documents ever created, the United States
Constitution. These words represent our nation’s backbone,
the people who work to make a difference in our government,
our business community and our society. Through
volunteerism, civic activity, and advocacy: people make a
difference. Groups working to make a difference for our
community are the staff of the Chamber of Commerce, the
volunteers of the Chamber Operating Group, and our elected
officials.
Striving to improve our community requires cooperation,
determination, and enthusiasm. We want you to join us in
creating a better community for all of Greensboro. Getting
involved is easy; join a political action committee, contact
your local officials to express your views, volunteer within
the community, or attend public meetings. Read the
newspaper, surf the net, listen to the radio or watch the
television to keep yourself “in the loop”.
“The chief
condition on which, life, health and vigor depend on, is
action. It is by action that an organism develops its
faculties, increases its energy, and attains the fulfillment
of its destiny.”
Colin Powell
“If you can dream
it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in
life if you help enough other people get what they want.”
Zig

“Every human has
four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent
will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate
human freedom... The power to choose, to respond, to change.”
Stephen R. Covey
